About
Here’s What I Bring to Our Work Together:
As a teacher, I know how to create safe spaces where learning feels like play
As an artist, I understand the healing power of creating something beautiful with your own hands
As a mentor, I've walked alongside women through their transformations
As someone who's been in the darkness, I know the way back to the light
I'm not here to give you a blueprint or tell you who you should be. I'm here to hold space while you discover that for yourself. To teach you the art that will quiet your mind and awaken your spirit. To build a community where you can be messy, real, and completely yourself.
About Lisa
The Unraveling: A few years ago, my life fell apart.
Not the gentle kind of falling apart—the kind where the rug gets ripped out from under you and you're left wondering who you even are anymore. Mother. Teacher. Artist. Traveler. All those identities I'd worn so comfortably suddenly felt like they belonged to someone else.
Maybe you know that feeling. That moment when you look around at the life you've built and realize you've lost yourself somewhere along the way.
The Awakening: But here's what I learned in that darkness: sometimes we have to completely unravel before we can remember who we truly are.
Through the deep soul-searching that followed, something unexpected happened. My spark—the one I thought was gone forever—began to flicker back to life. I picked up my art again. I traveled. I asked myself hard questions about what I actually wanted, not what I thought I should want. And slowly, piece by piece, I started to remember.
I remembered that I have gifts to share. That my story, messy as it is, matters. That joy isn't something we stumble upon—it's something we actively reclaim.
Why Living True You Exists: I created Living True You because I know I'm not alone in this experience. So many of us—especially as women navigating middle age, retirement, empty nests, or life transitions—feel like we've lost ourselves in the service of everyone else. We've dimmed our light, set aside our dreams, forgotten what makes us come alive.
This space is for women who are ready to remember.
Through art (there's nothing quite like getting your hands covered in wax and dye or feeling wool transform under your fingers), through authentic connection with other women who get it, and through honest conversations about what we truly want from this precious life—we reclaim our joy. We rebuild our confidence. We create the lives we're meant to live.
What’s next: Living True You is just the beginning. I'm currently writing a book about this journey, and I'll soon be offering one-on-one coaching for women ready to get clarity on what they truly want and the confidence to go after it. But right now? Right now I'm just thrilled you're here. Whether you join me for a batik workshop, sign up for my newsletter, or simply know that someone out there understands—welcome. You belong here. Let's create something beautiful together.
