WOOL & WATER
A Wet-Felting Experience.
Discover the ancient art of wet felting as you transform soft wool fibers into a beautiful, sculptural vessel.
Working with layers of colorful wool, warm water and gentle agitation, participants learn how loose fibers can be transformed into a strong, seamless textile. Using a resist to create the form, you'll build your vessel layer by layer, exploring color, texture and shape as the wool begins to felt.
As the fibers tighten and the vessel takes shape, the resist is removed and the piece is carefully formed by hand. The result is an original felted vessel—soft and organic in character, yet surprisingly sturdy and completely unique.
No previous experience with fiber arts is necessary. This is a hands-on, tactile experience designed to be enjoyed at a relaxed pace.
Create Your Own Vessel
Participants choose from a curated palette of beautiful wool colors and create a one-of-a-kind vessel using traditional wet-felting techniques.
Each piece develops its own character through the participant's choice of color, layering and texture. No two vessels are exactly alike.
